About Lea County Court Docket

Lea County court dockets and records are held by separate court clerks, not by one countywide records office. The Fifth Judicial District, the active magistrate courts, and the five municipal courts each have a role. This private reference resource helps identify the court that keeps a particular case, the New Mexico statewide index that can help locate it, and the official clerk route for a date, docket, or copy request.

Why We Built This Site

New Mexico court access is easier once the correct custodian is known. The Lea County District Court clerk keeps district civil, domestic, probate, felony, juvenile, and related district files. Hobbs, Lovington, and Eunice magistrate clerks keep their own state limited-jurisdiction dockets, while each city municipal clerk keeps its own city cases. New Mexico Case Lookup supplies a public statewide index, but it is not a repository for every filed document. The purpose here is to bring together official court contacts, search routes, record distinctions, and request options so a reader can begin with the office that actually holds the case.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket guides: ways to read criminal dockets and civil dockets kept in Lea County courts
  • Dates and settings: the court calendar route for checking a hearing date and confirming it with the court
  • Case location: how a case search can use a party name or case number in the statewide system
  • Clerk-held documents: how court records and available certified copies are requested from the responsible clerk

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to a New Mexico court, clerk, or government agency. The limits are important:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or setting remains current at a given moment

Only the clerk or trial court that maintains a Lea County case can issue its official or certified docket sheet or court record. This resource can identify that office, but it cannot produce the document.

Search Partners

Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party providers. Those providers run their own services and set their own prices. A paid signup reached through a tool may generate a referral fee that helps support this free reference resource. We do not control a partner’s charges or the results it returns.
